Although I wanted to capture a modern approach I felt that a drop cap may be a way in which to explore the idea of mythology further.
When looking at celtic initials I felt that they were extremely lavish and fabricated, factors in which I do not feel suiting towards my design. Although I could make the designs minimal, I feel that having two drop caps (for each language) may be excessive. When asking peers about this they suggested that the usage of drop caps would completely contradict the style in which I am attempting to mimic and thus it must be discontinued.
