Sketches developed in an illustrative style

From my research into different cocktails within illustrative styles I began to develop some of my own interpretations of them. As I am not a stronger drawer I tend to stray away from illustrations and thus within this project I would like to tackle this, in turn using my illustrations to form the basis of a CAD design. When looking at the different approaches I felt somewhat uncertain about what design styles I preferred, although I felt it obvious that certain designs communicated aspects in which I believe to relate to students. Some of the relationship between students and the above styles is shown below.

Idea 1 suggests a rough approach in which is conducted using pencil. As students are forever jotting down notes I believe this style may relate to them. As our university is also specialised amongst arts this would relate further to this demographic as they are aware of the initial rough sketches before the completed product.

Idea 4. This design styles expresses that of the splash approach. Although minimal the usage of colour within this design would allow it to appear strong from a distance. As graphic design is often seen to follow that of a modernist approach, I believe a design style that breaks these boundaries would gather large amounts of attention.

Idea 5. Disputably my favourite idea, this design explores the usage of block colour somewhat falling out of the boundaries. I believe that this approach is highly impactive and would also suggest the idea of being tipsy, a somewhat distorted perception of reality.
