Sir Kyffin Williams

In order to express contextual elements within my imagery, I decided to look closely at welsh artists, focusing primarily on landscape artists.

The above imagery is part of Kyffin Williams welsh landscape collection, in which focuses largely on the shape present within the welsh countryside. Kyffin uses oil paints as his main medium, a factor in which I personally feel is representative of traditional painting methods, and thus somewhat outdated to the young audience in which I am focusing my efforts upon.  The colours used are highly representative of Wales, with the grey skies expressing a mysterious feel. This will definitely be a factor in which I will experiment with when developing my own imagery.
