Production

The final piece was digitally printed a factor in which is important to not only target young people but to also allow the booklet to be mass produced. The colours used and type size would also be difficult to express through screen printing.

The paper used was that of 120gsm. This decision was made due to previous mock ups in which either expressed themselves as being too bulky or fragile. Although this lightweight paper requires little effort to open, and thus would target the 'lazy' consumer, it allows the previous pages work to be visible. This being a factor in which causes illegibility and promotes an unprofessional manner. If I were to re-develop this leaflet this is definitely an area in which I would alter.

The matt effect used is clean and consistent. It also illuminates shine, a factor in which had previously made my mockup appear illegible. Thus I stand by this decision.

The A5 sized piece denotes prominence and authority, two factors in which would be important if stored within a leaflet rack. The size also allows for vast areas of negative space, a key design aspect.

The fold used is traditional and thus complies to that of modernism, I did this specifically as a postmodern fold would not be practical, as after all the leaflets intentions are to inform.
