Plan of action

From the critique it was evident that some of the ideas must be manipulated in order to comply to the consumers needs. In conjunction to this further concepts have been outlined, these and their reasonings have been expressed below.

Firstly, the illness cards would be altered into humour cards for all occasions, with a distinct style being expressed throughout. This is due to the idea of illness cards not relating to a set, with Simon suggesting in the critique that 'its not a card set but a stationary set'. If the set focused upon humour within a distinct style, the cards can then be manipulated in order to appear as if in a set. It was suggested that a good way to do this would be to use that of 3D type.

Secondly, the idea of a specific 'taboo' set was outlined as making the individuals different, with Simon suggesting 'why make a card different, why just not make it neutral.' And thus the product would be open to a much wider target audience. In order to keep continuity it was sugested that patterns may be used throughout the set, or even specific typefaces.

Thirdly, as an idea it was suggested that a design specific collection may be used, whereby puns have been used for that of design related cards. Although strong this may have a limited audience.

From completing this task, the next stage of the project will be to develop drawings highlighting the different ways in which the cards may look.
