The Roundel- pictogram research

I wanted to look at an alternative way to resemble pictograms and therefore looked at the book, the Roundel which depicts multiple artists interpretations of the underground sign. I found that reading this book really helped my knowledge of wayfinding symbols, as how diverse they can be. Although most designs within this book are too fabricated for that of pictograms I found some really clear examples of how type and shape can be situated together effectively.
