Survey (b)

As I was unsure upon the technical aspects of a notebook in which appeal to that of a 18-25 year old demographic, primary research was conducted in the form of a survey. Like previous surveys this was left within the classroom in order to gain feedback from the mean demographic ( lca students generally aged between 18-22). The given survey and results are as follows.

When discussing the form of the notebook it was suggested by all peers that the notebook should lay flat as otherwise it is incredibly difficult to write within the notebook. The majority also suggested that they preferred a soft notebook to that of a hard cover the reasons being that soft covers are easier to scan, and store.

When discussing what the notebook is used for a variation of responses were completed such as: lecture notes, sketching, and lists. As the results were collected from an independant art university it is essential to note that these comments may be somewhat biased to art roles, an example being that the soft notebooks are easier to scan.

When discussing the notebooks in which my peers currently have all responses were that a soft cover was used. One of my peers also passed a comment suggesting that this style of book is cheaper, especially as they frequently buy notebooks. This means that price must be widely discussed within the production of the notebook.
