Target audience

Before any further designs can be made it is important that the relevant target audience is selected. As Hawking wrote the book for nonspecialist readers with no prior knowledge of scientific theories, it may be outlined that the book is for those not familiar with the structure of the universe. Other suggestions may also be made, including the idea that the consumer is an active reader who wishes to gain knowledge. Due to some of the complex themes presented within the book it may be suggested that the intended target audience is 27-55 year olds from an ABC1 demographic.
