Visual research

Visual research was conducted into pre-existing packaging designs in order to gain a better perspective as to what is impactful.

  • Geometric patterns have been used in the above example to create a contemporary minimal packaging design.
  • Blok colours have further been used to create impact.

  • Simple line drawings add a delicate nature to the packaging design
  • the brewery logo is clearly presented at the top of the design

  • Typography is a key element of the design
  • one colour has been used to create a natural, organic atmosphere

  • all illustrations follow the same line drawn style
  • bold colours have been used to express light beers

  • a proffesional looking ale has been developed by the usage of a circular label and split colour label
  • a simple illustration has been used to decorate the product

  • a split colour label has again been used in the above designs, this ensuring that the design is not over powering.

  • typography has been used to decorate the above bottles
  • the beer name is the central point of attention

  • Illustrative characters have been used in the above designs to promote a fun, inviting pieces of packaging.
  • Could I develop welsh characters?
