Discussion with erin

After showcasing Erin some of the visual research in which I have previously undertaken, we discussed the formatting of the magazine in terms of structure.

Erin highlighted how she would like the magazine to be of an A4 size, promoting her images as strongly as possible. She also suggested that a silk paper should be used, as she felt this most suiting to the design. As I was happy with these decisions for the time being, I agreed. Although I suggested that further considerations must be made later within the design process, an example being the correct gsm, to reduce crease marks and transparency.

Erin also highlighted during this stage that double paged spreads appeal visually to her, and that she believed her images would look most impactful on a bigger scale. As a result of this, I will attempt to include this spread format within elements of the magazine.

Above is an example of an image being used to fill a double page spread, whilst also considering text.
