Click count exercise

The idea of an app is to make the ease of a transition easier for the consumer than doing so manually. As a result of this the click counts between google wallet and contactless payments have been analysed. This may also enable myself to think of the formatting of the app, and how to reduce its count.

Apple Pay-6 clicks

First of all the phone must be switched on from standby mode using either a passcode or fingerprint, from this the app must be clicked, from there either the card or voucher section. Then the chosen card must be selected, placed on top of a contactless card machine and scanned. (Although this only works in a few companies and not globally, in some cases an app also has to be downloaded in order to create purchases.)

Contactless-5

Get purse from bag/pocket. Open wallet select card. Remove card and place on machine.

Conclusion

From this exercise it is evident that apple pay actually has a larger click count than that of the original product, a factor in which has been a contributor to apple pay's lack of consumers. In order to tackle this, a solution must be made in which only contains 4 click counts. Thus engaging the 8 second consumer.
