Stationary research

The outer packaging of a design is highly important as this can alter the entire atmosphere of a design. Laser cut has been used in this instant in order to develop a design in which appears delicate and dainty. In some retrospect it is fair to suggest that this design appears feminine. As this card has been developed for a wedding it is fair to suggest that a softer, more delicate design is usually developed in order to portray love.

Leaves have been used in this instance in order to express an eco-friendly design in which is completely biodegradable. This is highly important as cards, and envelopes are widely distributed and thus have a strong environmental impact. This may be explored further throughout the project.

Linocut has been used in this instance in order to develop an interesting, innovative design. The texture used allows for a more engaging piece in which may physically interest the consumer. The colours used appear natural, a factor in which alongside the brown paper allow the design to appear environmental.

A consistent pattern has been used in this instance in order to express a collection. The colour scheme, pattern and typography is consistent throughout, a factor in which is important when developing a set.

For those interested within horoscopes, this minimal card expresses information and is aesthetically pleasing. The watercolour approach is creative, and stands out against that of the generic type filled or animated cards.

In order to develop a set in this case colour is not consistent, yet the typography and illustration style is. This therefore expressing the idea that not all components of a set have to be the same in order to appear part of a group.

Brown paper and black ink has been used in this instance in order to develop a minimal, environmental design. The idea of the design is pen to paper, and thus is perfect for such things as a stationary set.
