Design for Screen

Colour

From the presentation completed by Simon it was stated that blue was the most common colour in screen based design. Due to this blue was expressed within the design to create a form of safety within the design.

With the green and orange expressing a fresh, new, and innovative aspect towards the app.

Web safe fonts 

Although the web contains very few installed fonts, this is not the case when developing an app as IOS has there own installed fonts. As Avenir has been used it is safe to say that the typeface would work on all Apple devices. It was also discovered through research that san serif typefaces are most popular in apps, hence why this design has been chosen. 

Grid systems

Grids are frequently used within website deisgn to allow consistency. As I have developed a user interface for an app this widely differs. Due to this a grid system has been used in which allows for a less restricted design. The design is often centralised, an aspect in which follows that of Apples current design. Shapes have been used to contain relevant information in a three column approach, allowing for consistent design. In turn allowing the consumers to easily find their information.
