Colour

Individual app colour schemes

The app itself expresses multiple colours in which engage the consumer, although some connote a tone of risk, red being an example of this. Alongside the colour scheme other colours are also introduced in order to formulate the cards. This is a good tactic in which allows the design to appear life like, this may be further formulated within the new app, although this will be explored.

RED. Physical
Positive: Physical courage, strength, warmth, energy, basic survival, 'fight or flight', stimulation, masculinity, excitement.
Negative: Defiance, aggression, visual impact, strain.

YELLOW. Emotional
Positive: Optimism, confidence, self-esteem, extraversion, emotional strength, friendliness, creativity.
Negative: Irrationality, fear, emotional fragility, depression.

GREEN. Balance
Positive: Harmony, balance, refreshment, universal love, rest, restoration, reassurance, environmental awareness, equilibrium, peace.
Negative: Boredom, stagnation, blandness, enervation.

BLUE. Intellectual.
Positive: Intelligence, communication, trust, efficiency, serenity, duty, logic, coolness, reflection, calm.
Negative: Coldness, aloofness, lack of emotion, unfriendliness.

As the brief expresses a re-brand it has been decided that the colour scheme should be the same, although slight alterations may be made in order to connote a friendlier, trustworthy app. To do this, it has been decided to eliminate red, as danger should not be expressed.
