Russell Weekes

Russell Weekes's minimal semiotics are highly visual and impactive pieces. The general 3 tone approach is an effective way in which to use basic colours to create a bold outcome. The colours in which he uses are often primary although involving some secondary colours to embed the image in context, an example of this being how the green light has been used to construct a reality behind the traffic lights. I feel that Weekes's style would work extremely well to stylise infographics, as the data present within them doesn't want to be out ranked by complicated aesthetics, but rather uplifted by simplistic designs and minimal colours. Due to these reasonings I will follow Weekes's work further when developing my own infographics, focusing upon 3 tonal approaches and simplistic shapes.
