Black or white?-making the design appear more similar to the original

When discussing with my peers about which design appears most effective it was stated that the black allows for a more focused approach in which highlights the key information, making the information more prominent upon the page. Although clean and clear it was suggested that the white approach appeared clinical and didn't feel focused, whereas the black approach did so, and appears more secure. Assome pages of the original content are white and others black it was suggested that the set up should follow a white, clean approach whereas the setup version should express a more condensed black.
