Second sketches
Focusing upon promoting Erin's photography, large scale images have been depicted. As the magazine contains interviews, the layout of the spreads has been devised in order to ensure that the design does not contain page after page of body copy. By situating a range of scales, and weights, this will combat the younger target audiences lack of patience, whilst the large scale images will be clear to the older demographic. Type overlays image in some contexts in order to promote modern design trends. Hierarchy will be situated so that the image is not the last element in which the consumer visualises.
When showing these layout ideas to Erin, she suggested that they were strong. She was unsure about the arrangement but suggested that I should begin to physically develop the design using the grids, which can then be easily transferable.
