Queer magazines

From visually analysing an array of queer publications, it is evident that the queer nature of the publication is listed on the front cover. This is either through type or stereotypical imagery. Although this may be seen as a lazy shorthand, it instantly outlines to the consumer that it is a queer publication, a necessity when developing a product for a niche subject.

In relation to this, it must be considered how my magazine cover will explore sexuality, whether this being through image or type. It may even be presented through the title.
