Pre-existing 'cosmetics' packaging

The effects of bold, bright colours

Bold and bright, these packaging designs instantly stand out to the consumer. Black text has been combined with a vivid colour in order to add a sense of formality to the design, embedding an upper class feel. The minimal nature of the designs are effective as they allow all the relevant information to be easily accessible, with the text appearing as a main focal point.

Soft yet impactful colours

Diluted hues have been used in the above products in order to promote a natural feel towards the product. When using lighter variations of certain colours, for example pink, this can sometimes appear to be directed at females. Therefore it is essential that the colour palette is neutral and doesn't appeal to one sex over another.

How illustration and graphic design could be applied

The illustration may wrap around the whole design, or be 'cut out' and placed in different situations in order to explore the best possible composition. White is predominately used as the base colour in order to promote purity and nature. This effectively completing the products aesthetic.
