Why Wood?

The concept of this piece determines its importance, as it has strong connotations to the wood based instruments which integrate with Etta's leading vocal to determine the songs impactful nature. The merging of both Etta and wood forms within this piece convey the sentiment that a song is not built primarily of vocals, and that a songs melody is a highly important factor. Thus rising the other composers who correlated with Etta to be acknowledged as producers of this lifelong classic.

The aesthetics expressed within this deisgn explore an untraditional method, an idea in which may apply to that of Etta's vocal range. The wood approach expresses tranquility a factor in which I believe applies to that of the song. I decided to not select the deisgn with typography as I feel that this minimal approach is much more effective as it allows the consumer to embed themselves within it. I would also suggest that the enigma in which this deisgn expresses is one of its key charms.
