Way finding layout inspiration

As I was unsure how to display the map graphically I decided to gather some more inspiration on the design of wayfinding. I looked at multiple map systems and their relationship to shape, colour and structure. I found that generally I prefered colour schemes that use multiple shades of one colour, although designs that involve multiple colours appear very impactive and may express the 'fun' aspect of university halls. I found that most map systems use block shapes but some use designs a little more complex, adding in specific details towards the building shape and therefore expressing the layout much more clearly.
